Very predictable result when third ranked BelgianKangoeroes (16-5) beat on the road 15th ranked Dutch Groningen (6-13) 85-75 on Saturday. American guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) scored 26 points and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Kangoeroes' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Tavian Dunn-Martin (173-1998, college: FGCU) responded with 31 points and 5 assists and Serbian center Filip Brankovic (202-2003, agency: Tolakh Tsimur) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Kangoeroes have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Mechelen maintains third position with 16-5 record having just one point less than leader Oostende. Loser Groningen dropped to the sixteenth place with 13 games lost.
